Snacks

I have been reading some great posts on children's snacks and have found some fantastic new ideas to keep my little ones interested, so I thought I would share some of our favourites with you all.

cherry tomatoes, halved and stuffed with a mix of cream cheese and basil, topped with a pine nut.

left over yoghurt piped onto some baking paper and popped in the freezer, a great treat on a hot day or to sooth sore teething gums.

banana slices topped with peanut butter

oats, mashed banana and raisins, rolled into balls and left to set in the fridge.

hard boiled eggs filled with the mashed yolk, herbs (chives, parsley) and mayonnaise

frozen grapes on skewers (to stop them rolling all over the freezer). Great for teething gums and hot days. I watch my two toddler devour these at an amazing pace.

What great snack ideas do you have at your place?

Happy Friday! xx

  1. Slices of frozen banana whizzed in blender with perhaps a tiny bit of liquid added. Water is fine. Keep blending and banana will turn into what looks like soft serve icecream.

frozen quarters of orange. A bit messy but refreshing.

    1. Oh yum! I will be trying the frozen banana for sure, I usually pop a few in the blender with milk and berries for a smoothie.

I have never thought of frozen orange. I would have thought it would be too hard. I will give this a go also.

Thanks for the great ideas! x

  2. I do the banana with peanut butter for myself!

Toddler C refuses to eat veggies and so I am on a mission to find a veggie snack that he will eat.
Most recently I tried roasted chickpeas...I thought they were delicious but he was not a fan.
    Back to the drawing board!

  3. Love the frozen yoghurt idea. My 17 month old refuses to drink milk- so I have to sneak calcium in. It is a battle.
