I love to cook, I especially love to cook and create with my three in the kitchen.
They make a mess, they lick the spoon, they fight over who's turn it is to stir and they push and shove to get the closest, but I still love it.
I love that we have veggies, fruit and herbs in our garden and I can give Poppy a pair of scissors and ask her to go out and get what we need.
Growing your own food is so satisfying and I have no doubt it encourages my children to eat better, why wouldn't you want to taste the produce you have spent weeks nurturing?
Breakfast is, of course the most important meal of the day, and with Poppy doing full time school this year, I like to know I have sent her off to school with the best start every morning.
Here are some easy breakfast favourites at our place that I thought I would share.
"Tiger toast" Grilled cheese stripes on Vegemite toast.
The 'brekky cup' is great for using up fruit that needs bad bits cutting out, layers of yoghurt, cereal or oats and fruit.
Teddy toast is so cute, wholemeal toast with peanut butter, banana and sultanas or blueberries.
Dippy eggs and soldiers... totally yum! (and you can trick someone by turning the egg upside down when you have finished)
A pretty fruit platter.
Uncle Toby's 90 second oats are amazing, quick and easy to whip up and are fantastic for warming little tums up on cold mornings.
French toast and fruit. Soak almost stale bread in an egg and milk mix, fry in a little butter and serve with maple syrup, icing sugar and fruit (usually a weekend treat after going to the pool).
My favourite? Dippy eggs, Yum!!
