Tired.

I'm tired.

Like unbelievably, need match sticks to open my eyes tired.

We have so much going on at the moment, I seem to be running on the little hamster wheel, but not getting anywhere.

These two, as sweet as they are (my heart pretty much exploded when I captured them holding hands watching TV yesterday.) seem to laugh in the face of sleep, both of them jumping into our bed at 3am this morning for a play and giggle. They also for the most part are happy to cruise through the day with out a nap, especially Alexis, that girl can go and go.

It also doesn't help that someone seems to have set the TV's alarm on and it turns on at 5am every morning, we have no idea how to fix it, and no matter how many times I tell myself through the day that tonight I will turn it off at the power point, I always forget until about 4.59am the next morning.

So for now I think I will pop on The Lion King, make a coffee and enjoy 5 mins to myself.

What about you?
Is your house noisy at night?
Are you due for a sleep in?

Happy (yawn) Thursday! x

  1. I'm at the other end of the spectrum to you. My eldest grandson has just turned fifteen. I do remember those days and I did not have a TV to use in such circumstances.

However, I was sitting at the computer a while back doing my Boxfresh fruit and veg order, and my eyes kept shutting too. Lots of family stress and nasty, nasty illnesses here at the moment and I think stress caught up with me. I do find that even ten minutes of just sitting, sometimes with eyes closed is a help. Not every day, but when matchsticks don't work, I have to do something.

I;m sure everyone already tells you, "this too will pass." It will and they'll be teenagers next year. However, I was surprised to have the doctor tell me the same thing as he gently patted my hand the other day when I had a bit of a meltdown in his rooms. I thought of the many times I had said this to others and was getting it back.

Hope you get a full sleep soon. It makes the world of difference as I'm sure you know.
