The fog here at the moment is brutal, it is thick, wet and cold.

Some days, it doesn't lift until about 2.30pm and that's only for a couple of hours before it sets in again.

What makes it worse, (for me anyway) is that about 10 minutes up the road there is no fog, and beautiful winters days are being enjoyed. Ugh!

For the first few weeks we packed up and went into the 'city' (where it's nice and sunny) or spent most of the day inside, but we are starting to 'embrace' the fog and venture out in it to explore and do our chores like feed the chooks and get out in the garden. Yesterday morning we gathered sticks for the fire, found treasures under the huge gums and played tag to use up some of that toddler energy (and to keep warm).

Being inside so much is driving me a little crazy, and I'm hanging out for long warm days where we live, play and eat outside day after day.

I have whipped up a big batch of 'ice eggs' for those long dragged out afternoons where I can pop all three in the spa and throw the eggs in for entertainment, and I also have my trusty craft cupboard with loads of activities at the ready, hopefully it will be enough to keep me sane for the next few days.

Is it foggy where you are?

What ideas do you have up your sleeve for those long afternoons with little ones?

I love that you have stopped by, and love reading your thoughts and opions, thanks for sharing. xx
