How good is fresh produce? 

 Like eaten the second it is picked fresh.

We have spent the morning on the hunt for some blackberries that are ripe and ready to eat.

There are thousands that are still yet to turn their shiny shade of black, and when they do turn in a week or so, they will go into pies, muffins, jams, crumbles and our tummies by the masses.

For now it was lovely to get the taste of the first few, just enough to leave us wanting more.

This afternoon we will be up the ladder getting buckets of apricots and then preparing them for bottling.

I'm sure a fair few will go into our tummies too.
